In the gallery that follows, listed in alphabetical order, are 20 of the most significant models to debut at this year's show.
2015 Acura TLX
Replacing the TSX and TL in Acura's lineup, the 2015 TLX sedan is offered with a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine, the latter available with all-wheel drive. Entering the compact crossover fray, the new Chevy Trax is a Buick Encore without all the fancy fixin's. A turbocharged, 1.4-liter 4-cylinder engine powers the front wheels, and all-wheel drive is optional. It faces competition from the new Honda HR-V when it hits showrooms in early 2015.
2015 Dodge Challenger
It might look the same on the outside, but the new Dodge Challenger benefits from a long list of mechanical and technological upgrades, coupled with a new interior that Dodge says is reminiscent of the 1971 Challenger.

Toyota, apparently disinterested in relinquishing its "best-selling car in America" title anytime soon, has restyled the Camry for 2015 while at the same time upgrading the interior and offering new infotainment and safety features. The 4-cylinder, V-6, and hybrid powertrains, however, are the same as those in today's Camry.
2015 Volkswagen Golf TDI SportWagen Concept
Aside from the 4Motion all-wheel-drive system that's paired with Volkswagen's TDI Clean Diesel engine in this "concept car," what you see here is essentially the replacement for the Jetta SportWagen. Bigger inside, and offered with more modern equipment, the new 2015 Golf SportWagen features a choice between a turbocharged, 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine or the latest Clean Diesel power plant from VW.
