GameSir Launches X2s Type-C Mobile Gaming Controller for iPhone and Android

Gaming peripheral maker GameSir has unveiled the X2s Type-C, a mobile gaming controller that's Android and iOS compatible out the box. The brand's latest product joins its roster of well-regarded accessories that includes the recent G8 Galileo controller, one of the best reviewed controllers currently available, further strengthening the Hong Kong-based brand's position as one of the best options for

Like other GameSir controllers, the X2s features Hall Effect sticks and triggers that eliminate any chance of stick drift, allowing gamers to focus on playing for fun without fear of dodgy sticks. Another well-considered design element is the USB-C connector which, unlike most mobile controllers on the market, is flexible and not fixed in place. This makes getting your phone in and out much easier and, again, eliminates risk of damage to either device. The controller employs a spring-loaded mechanism that requires users to pull open both sides of the controller to fit their phone in, snapping back into place once let go. It's suitable for phones and small tablets sized between 110mm to 168mm, meaning it will comfortably fit even the biggest of smartphones.

Other features present on the X2s controller include a turbo function that can be assigned to any button, as well as various preprogrammed shortcuts that are accessed by pressing the 'Capture' button along with any one of the others, depending what you want to do. The aforementioned 'Capture' key makes sharing your gameplay easy, taking screenshots or screen recordings with the touch of a button. Users can even customize the controller's buttons via the GameSir app, including adjusting the dead zones of the sticks and triggers, and reordering the front facing button layout.

The X2s is currently only available in one colorway, a Nintendo DS-inspired purple and grey combo. It has rubber-coated grips on the back for extra comfort, and included in the box are extra thumb sticks (both convex and concave options) to ensure all gamers' preferences are met.

The GameSir X2s Type-C Mobile Controller is available now priced at $45.99 USD / £49.99 GBP via GameSir's website.
