The first pictures of Disneyland’s new Tower of Terror are here, and they sure are something

The first pictures of Disneyland’s new Tower of Terror are here, and they sure are something

Next month, Disneyland is going to introduce us to a brand new attraction…or well, reintroduce us. At the beginning of this year, Tower of Terror held final guest checkouts to make way for Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT. While the ride will basically be the same (you go up, and then you go down REALL FAST), everything else has changed.

For the past few months, the building has been covered in construction scrims but now, they are all gone, and we can finally see the beauty that is the new Collector’s Fortress — because that’s right, this building now has a brand new theme, too. The new story goes, The Collector, Taneleer Tivan (played in the Guardians movies by Benicio del Toro), has the Guardians in his clutches, and it’s up to you, with the help of Rocket Raccoon, to free them. Think you can do it?

We still don’t know what the insides of the building will look like — like the queue, and the brand new ride vehicles — but we’re exited to see what Disney has in store for us.

Even if you dearly miss the old Tower of Terror (as we all do, you are not alone), you’ve got to admit that this new look is pretty cool. And you know you’re going to have just as much fun riding this one — and if not MORE. Because, come on, when Mission: BREAKOUT opens, it’ll be the only ride on Disney property you’re guaranteed to ride with Chris Pratt. Like, come on.
