FCA Canada's Reid Bigland now head of Alfa Romeo, Maserati
Fiat-Chrysler Automobiles Canada president and CEO Reid Bigland has a bigger portfolio within the company. Alfa Romeo and Maserati are now his responsibility, too.
Bigland takes over the role from Harald Wester, who will remain chief technology officer of FCA.
Up until now, Bigland has been head of Alfa's North American brand.
The change will allow a great focus on expanding the two brands, FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne said in a news release.
"It is time now for our efforts to be directed towards the global commercial expansion of these two brands, and I can think of no one better than Reid to fullfil that mission," he said.
Bigland will also remain as head of U.S. sales and chief executive of FCA Canada.
