The presidential debates between Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump have taken over the public sphere. And due to the discriminatory language and aggressive behavior we are witnessing during the campaign, many viewers are facing higher levels of stress and more oppressive threats during this presidential race.

That’s why on this Virgin flight to San Francisco from New York, it was particularly interesting that the entire flight — except for one passenger — was watching the final presidential debate on Wednesday night.

As reported by Cosmopolitan, passenger Caroline Paul tweeted out a picture of her flight with seemingly every seat plugged into the final presidential debate, captioning it “democracy.” Many Twitter users wrote that the image restored their faith in humanity, gave them hope for the future, and so on.

After all, seeing a plane full of people concerned with who will be running the country for the next four to eight years is something that should make anyone feel like maybe the world will be alright. However, as Twitter user RTF pointed out, there was one passenger who was glued to an episode of the Real Housewives — not the presidential debate.

It takes a lot of courage to go against the grain. While many are experiencing social and emotional burnout from this year’s presidential election, it speaks volumes to see those who are boldly able to find their own peace of mind — with the Bravo network or anything else.
