Even more impressive than its über-affordable price, however, is this device’s top-notch performance. This thing is powerful—we’re talking an $800 Roomba-level powerful. In fact, when we tested it out, it managed to suck up a whopping 11 grams of dirt per run, putting it on part with the iRobot Roomba i7+ ($799.99)—a.k.a. our favorite robot vacuum of all time.
It also excelled when it came to “edge cleaning,” getting at nooks and crannies other models struggle to sweep thanks to its low, 3-inch high profile. Better yet, it handles obstacles, pushing itself up and over our high-pile rug with ease. You’ll want to note that it can be rather forceful in its efforts to clean the whole of your home, however, so chair legs and the like can take a beating if they’re in the Groove’s path.
The app, meanwhile, while a little bare bones, is perfectly functional, allowing you to stop, start and schedule cleanings with ease.
