Time for your daily dose of trending tickers, the stocks you're following based on your Yahoo Finance ticker searches.

First Solar
First Solar (FSLR) plunged after a bearish call on Wall Street. RBC Capital downgraded the stock to "underperform" from "market perform." The firm also slashed its price target by $20 to $34 a share. RBC analysts expect revenue growth to flatten this year and next.

EMC
Dealmaking is pushing shares of EMC (EMC) lower. The data storage products maker said it would buy privately held Virtustream for about $1.2 billion. EMC has been struggling with slowing sales growth and hopes this deal will expand its cloud service offerings.

Time Warner Cable & Charter Communications

Deal news in the slowing U.S. cable industry pushed big names in its sector. Time Warner Cable (TWC) rose sharply higher after Charter Communications (CHTR) agreed it for $55 billon in cash and stock, or $195 a share. Charter stock also moved on the news. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has already said it will closely examine this merger between the country's third and second largest cable operators. Comcast (CMCSA), America's largest cable operator attempt to buy Time Warner fell apart last month amid regulatory scrutiny.
