'Don’t mind if I do': Kat Dennings engaged to musician Andrew W.K. after whirlwind romance

Kat Dennings is off the market!

The 34-year-old actress ("2 Broke Girls", "WandaVision") announced her engagement to 42-year-old musician Andrew W.K. (short for Wilkes-Krier) on Thursday after going Instagram-official in late April.

"Don’t mind if I do," Dennings captioned three Instagram pictures of her engagement ring, including a sweet picture of the couple sharing a kiss and an embrace. Wilkes-Krier shared the same series of photos on his Instagram account with a ring emoji.

The couple began their whirlwind romance earlier this year after meeting in Los Angeles, according to a press release provided to USA TODAY by Wilkes-Krier's manager Pete Galli.

This will be Dennings' first marriage. Wilkes-Krier was married to fellow musician Cherie Lily in 2008, but they "began amicable divorce proceedings in late 2019," according to the press release.

Kat Dennings announced her engagement to musician Andrew W.K. Thursday.

Days ahead of their engagement, Dennings wished Wilkes-Krier a "happy birthday" on May 9 with a PDA-packed Twitter photo of the couple kissing.

She dated singer Josh Groban from 2014 to 2016.
