Dodge's Electric Charger Scat Pack Reportedly Starts at $64,995

Top Dodge Charger EV Reportedly Starts At $64,995Dodge

The upcoming Dodge Charger Daytona EV was officially revealed all the way back in March, but as the months have ticked by, one thing has remained a mystery: how much Stellantis will charge for its first electric Dodge. Now, apparent leaked internal documents shared on Instagram by YouTuber Jamey Butterfield and brought to wider attention by Mopar Insiders are shedding some light on the situation — and if they prove correct, the first-ever electric Charger is not going to be cheap.

Butterfield's post appears to show the build sheets for two different Charger Daytona builds —an R/T and a Scat Pack. The Scat Pack — the faster of the two — seems to start at $64,995 before options and delivery fees; few options bring that number up to $80,175, then what appears to be a $1,995 delivery fee takes the Charger up to a pricey $82,170. The more affordable R/T starts at $55,995 before a delivery charge, then reaches $68,570 with its own compliment of options and fees.

For comparison, the outgoing gas-powered Charger R/T and Scat Pack models started at $45,065 and $51,925, respectively. That would make the new R/T $10,935 more expensive than its predecessor — although the price comes with a jump from 370 horsepower to a peak of 495 hp. The Scat Pack is a whopping $13,070 more expensive than the car it replaces, but it goes from 485 hp to 670.

These spec sheets notably don't show line items what Dodge calls "Direct Connection Stage Kits," the power-boosting options for R/T and Scat Pack models that Dodge said in March would be mandatory for the car's first model year. Those options could be factored into these cars' starting price — meaning that the true MSRP of R/T and Scat Pack models may eventually be lower, once those Stage Kits are no longer bundled into the mix. Four-door models, inline-six offerings, and tri-motor EV variants are all coming later, so pricing on those Chargers are not included in this apparent leak.
