Disney's Most Exclusive Theme Park Club Might Be Coming to Walt Disney World

Rumor has it Disneyland’s super-exclusive Club 33 will be coming to Walt Disney World. Word spread across the Disney community today that not one but four versions of the pricey private haunt are debuting at the Orlando resort this fall, with one likely located in each of Disney’s four Orlando theme parks.

The private, members-only restaurant and lounge bar opened at Disneyland Park in 1967, and has long been known as an insider’s hangout and celebrity hot-spot for Los Angelenos visiting Disneyland. Currently, Disney Parks operates branches of Club 33 at Disneyland Park, Shanghai Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland as well as a members-only 1901 Lounge at Disney California Adventure in Anaheim. Globetrotting fans should brace themselves, as the potentially forthcoming branches at Walt Disney World would be unaffiliated with all of them.

Information remains undisclosed, but from what we know about Disneyland’s Club 33, being buddy-buddy with Mickey Mouse won’t come cheap. Membership to the Anaheim club is rumored to cost $25,000 in memberships fees with $12,000 each year in dues. We’re not sure if admittance to the VIP spaces at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom would be linked - or even if that’s where they’ll certainly be - but the option to escape the parks’ bustling crowds in a dreamy getaway is surely inviting.

Besides offering fantastic food in an ambiance blending Disney history with old-world charm and, well, the honor of being at the most exclusive place in the park, Disneyland’s Club 33 is also the only location in the park that serves alcohol. With beer, wine and champagne for sale at Magic Kingdom restaurants and freely throughout the other three Walt Disney World parks, imbibing won’t be a members-only activity - but from what we’re hearing, that may not be the point at all.

Details are vague, but these new club may be different from what Club 33 dreamers have long considered the secretive space to be, considering these iterations may not even offer food service. There’s no word either on where the four private spaces would be located within Walt Disney World parks, but considering Club 33 at the Tokyo and Shanghai parks are both located within each park’s take on Main Street, U.S.A., it’s possible the Magic Kingdom’s will wind up there as well.
