Deutsche Boerse chair to leave post in 2025 as search for successor begins

A general view shows the German stock exchange (Deutsche Boerse) in Frankfurt

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Martin Jetter, the chairman of the German stock exchange operator Deutsche Boerse, said on Tuesday that he will leave his post in May and that the search was on for a successor.

Jetter's departure comes months after his reelection to the role earlier this year and follows the completion of his search for a new chief executive to succeed Theodor Weimer.

Jetter, on the supervisory board since 2018 and the company's chair since 2020, said that he now wanted to devote time to his other interests and mandates.

The company said Jetter, whose term was set to end in 2027, would hand over the post at its next annual general meeting.
