December arts roundup: Foo Fighters, Christmas plays and more in the Sacramento area

December is upon us and the holiday festivities are in full swing. You might be looking for somewhere to take your out-of-town friends or family, and there are plenty of exciting opportunities in the Sacramento area this month.

December 1 to 24: Capital Stage presents “Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley.” This imagined sequel to “Pride and Prejudice,” by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, is directed by Peter Mohrmann. For information and tickets, see capstage.org.

December 1 to 26: B Street Theatre presents “A Child’s Christmas in Reno.” This age 13-and-up show is about brothers who travel home to Reno to spend the holiday with their father. It’s a comedy with all the trimmings. For more information go to bstreettheatre.org.
