Corrections and clarifications

• A feature about a living French woman who is considered “administratively dead” said: “French citizens are required to carry identification papers. If they are stopped and cannot show them, they can be fined.” While this has been the case during Covid lockdowns, at other times they do not have to carry ID but can be required to prove their identity in some form (Rumours of my death, 3 July, Weekend, page 24).
