Yahoo Finance Coronation Street's Rita Tanner quits Kabin job in new scenes

Coronation Street may be witnessing the end of an era next week, when Rita Tanner makes a shock exit from The Kabin after being upset by new arrival Isabella.
The conflict begins when a bleary-eyed Brian Packham shows up late for work at The Kabin, revealing that he was up late playing Italian card games with Isabella, his newly-discovered Italian cousin.
Rita disapproves of Kabin owner Brian's behaviour, with Isabella also in her bad books.

Later on, Isabella corners Rita, declaring that Rita is too old to be working and claiming that Brian needs a younger assistant at the newsagents.
With her dislike for Isabella evident, Rita decides to quit her job at The Kabin.
Is this really the end of Rita's long stint at The Kabin, or can she be persuaded to make a return?

Rita isn't the only cobbles resident with bad feeling toward Isabella, who recently arrived in Weatherfield in May to meet her cousin Brian. They first learned they were related after Brian took a DNA test to learn more about his family history and heritage.
Glenda Shuttleworth wasn't impressed when Isabella ignored her attempt to start up a conversation, while Mary Taylor has also seen a deceptive side to Isabella after she sabotaged George Shuttleworth's model ship by glueing it to a table.
Will there be further trouble in store for Brian when it comes to Isabella?
Peter Gunn, who plays Brian, suggested earlier this year that he would love to see his character embark on a new romance with his friend Mary.
"They are both quite surreal and off-the-wall and work together very well," he explained. "They could be a very strong pairing, and I love working with [Mary actress Patti Clare]."
