Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Tip: Spray the bottom of the pan with cooking spray before adding the parchment paper to help it adhere.
In a mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients:
Melted, slightly cooled butter
Brown sugar
White granulated sugar
A touch of vanilla extract
Mix until well combined.
Add the two large eggs and continue mixing until the batter is smooth.
In a separate bowl, combine:
Flour
Salt
Mix the dry ingredients together.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until the batter is thoroughly combined.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Tap and slide the pan gently to ensure the batter is evenly distributed.
Roughly chop your leftover Halloween candy. You can use a variety of candies like chocolates, caramels, peanut butter cups, or any of your favorites.
Sprinkle the chopped candy pieces evenly over the batter in the baking pan.
Pour the remaining half of the batter on top of the candy layer.
Sprinkle a little more of the chopped candy on top for an extra burst of flavor.
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.
Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for about 15-20 minutes.
Using the parchment paper as handles, lift the blondie slab out of the pan and transfer it to a cutting board. Cut the blondies into squares or bars.
