Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease and line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper. Tip: Spray the bottom of the pan with cooking spray before adding the parchment paper to help it adhere.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the following ingredients:

    • Melted, slightly cooled butter

    • Brown sugar

    • White granulated sugar

    • A touch of vanilla extract

  • Mix until well combined.

  • Add the two large eggs and continue mixing until the batter is smooth.

  • In a separate bowl, combine:

    • Flour

    • Salt

  • Mix the dry ingredients together.

  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until the batter is thoroughly combined.

  • Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Tap and slide the pan gently to ensure the batter is evenly distributed.

  • Roughly chop your leftover Halloween candy. You can use a variety of candies like chocolates, caramels, peanut butter cups, or any of your favorites.

  • Sprinkle the chopped candy pieces evenly over the batter in the baking pan.

  • Pour the remaining half of the batter on top of the candy layer.

  • Sprinkle a little more of the chopped candy on top for an extra burst of flavor.

  • Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with only a few moist crumbs.

  • Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and let it cool for about 15-20 minutes.

  • Using the parchment paper as handles, lift the blondie slab out of the pan and transfer it to a cutting board. Cut the blondies into squares or bars.
