‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Cheater Immediately Fired From the Show

On The Celebrity Apprentice, MMA fighter Chael Sonnen and the rest of his team were coming down to the wire on their task, and it looked like they were not going to finish in time. So Chael took matters into his own hands and cut a wire.

The team was working on a brochure for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. They were huddled around a computer as an editor was helping them pick out pictures for the brochure, but they were running out of time. On the show, the only way teams are allotted more time is if they have technical difficulties. So instead of getting disqualified for not finishing the project on time, Chael decided to buy them some time by cutting the cord to the computer.

Once they were in the boardroom, Chael defended his actions, saying, “You have to finish by 7:45. At 7:43, we were not done. You get one exception, which is technical difficulty. So with a little creativity and some scissors, I gave us a technical difficulty.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn’t buying Chael’s attempt to buy more time and told him, “I know that you think this is a gray area, but in my world, this is not a gray area. I will not tolerate cheaters in my boardroom. You’re fired.”

The Celebrity Apprentice airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
