Canada's Largest Franchise Show Helps Canadians Achieve Dreams of Business Ownership

The Canadian Franchise Association Makes Dreams of Business Ownership Come True Through The Franchise Show, Which Returns to Toronto February 21 and 22, 2015

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - February 09, 2015) - This February, aspiring entrepreneurs can discover how to become successful business owners through franchising at The Franchise Show (www.thefranchiseshow.ca), Canada's largest showcase of franchise opportunities, which returns to Toronto on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 at Toronto Congress Centre at 650 Dixon Road.

For past attendee Jessica Pang, The Franchise Show helped her achieve her goal of owning a business but with the support and resources of a proven brand behind her. "Because I was a first-time business owner, I had more confidence opening a business as a franchisee," she says.

After doing some preliminary research, Pang attended The Franchise Show in Toronto last year to learn more. "Once I knew I wanted to be a franchisee, I was very serious and put a lot of effort into finding out more details." At The Franchise Show, she met with representatives from Druxy's Famous Deli and now operates a Druxy's deli in Markham Stouffville Hospital. "They've been in business for almost 40 years so they have a proven system," Pang says. "By becoming a franchisee, you get the benefit of an existing successful business."

At the heart of the franchise business model is the mutually beneficial relationship between the franchisor and the franchisee. "We feel that franchising offers the perfect combination of a strong franchisor who can develop the concept and procedures, supervise the operation and offer assistance when needed with an on-site franchisee who will take direct interest, responsibility and care of their deli and customers," says Peter Druxerman, Vice President of Marketing at Druxy's Famous Deli.

Druxy's Famous Deli will be exhibiting at The Franchise Show in Toronto along with franchises from a range of investment levels and industries, from food and fitness to education and senior care. As the official show of the Canadian Franchise Association (CFA), The Franchise Show exclusively features CFA members who voluntarily abide by CFA's Code of Ethics and promote excellence in franchise business practices.

"Many Canadians dream of becoming small business owners but not everyone has the know-how or the original idea to start a business from scratch," says Lorraine McLachlan, CFA's President and CEO. "Through the proven business concept and the support provided by the franchisor, franchising can be a tremendous way for Canadians to achieve success as small business owners and The Franchise Show is the best venue to begin investigating franchise opportunities."
