Burlington expands again in Charlotte, and is opening a new location this summer

Burlington department store is slated to open its eighth Charlotte location, with the new store going to the Perimeter Woods shopping center near Northlake Mall, according to the New Jersey-based company.

The grand opening for the store at 10235 Perimeter Pkwy. is scheduled for Aug. 23, according to Matt Basara, Kite Realty’s vice president of property management for the Southeast. Burlington is opening another Charlotte location at 1055 Metropolitan Ave. on Aug. 2, according to the store’s website.

Burlington plans to open 100 net new stores in 2024, CEO Michael O’Sullivan said during Burlington’s 2023 fourth-quarter earnings call on March 7.

As part of its growth plans, Burlington opened a store in Goldsboro earlier this year. It also plans to open a location in Wilson, 55 minutes east of Raleigh. That location is set to open June 28.
