The Next BMW M5 Should Be Revealed on June 26BMW M / YouTube

This year has been rather busy for the team at BMW M, with new versions on the M2, M3, and M4 all arriving for the 2025 model year. The brand isn’t done rolling out performance machines quite yet however, as the all-new M5 is expected to show up before the month is out. More specifically, we now hear that the highly anticipated G90 M5 sedan will make its official debut on June 26.

The news comes by way of BMWBlog, who were the first to report that the new M5 would be arriving in June. Details about the specific date came by way of a now-vanished Instagram Story published by none other than BMW M Head of Design Michael Scully, which featured a near-production prototype in light camouflage. The camouflaged sedan's social media spotlight reportedly confirmed the M5’s June 26 debut.

The G90 BMW M5 is shaping up to be quite different from its predecessor. The sports sedan icon is still slated to carry the familiar twin-turbocharged V-8 engine, but it will now come accompanied by an electric motor. The hybrid powertrain is said to provide customers with up to 43 miles of pure electric range, while also delivering an M5 CS-beating 700-plus horsepower. Expect that power to run through all four wheels, which will help the G90 make the best use of all of that power on or off the track. A long-roof Touring station wagon version of the M5 is also slated for production, and will actually make its way to the United States this time around.

That said, it's possible that BMW saves the M5 Touring debut until their appearance at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 18, given the series of recent debuts. Fans of the brand are also expecting to see the arrival of a few other hot BMWs before the year is done, including the M135, M235 Gran Coupe, and the X3. None of those models fit the Concours d'Elegance vibe quite like the M5 Touring, however.

Be sure to check back here next week for what we fully expect will be the long-awaited reveal of the latest BMW M5.
