BlackRock Announces Completion of Changes to iShares Natural Gas Commodity Index Fund ("GAS") and iShares Broad Commodity Index Fund (CAD-Hedged) ("CBR")

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 30, 2012) - (GAS.TO)(CBR.TO)(CBR-A.TO) -

BlackRock Investments Canada Inc. (BlackRock Canada), an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of BlackRock, Inc. (BLK), today announced the completion, effective today, of the previously-announced merger of the iShares Natural Gas Commodity Index Fund (GAS) and the iShares Broad Commodity Index Fund (CAD-Hedged) (CBR) (the Merger). BlackRock Canada also implemented a change to the investment objective (the Change in Investment Objective) of CBR in order to change the index which CBR seeks to replicate to the Morningstar® Global Long/Flat Commodity Index(SM) or such other broad-based commodity index as may be selected by BlackRock Canada and notified to unitholders by press release, net of expenses.

"We would like to thank Auspice Capital Advisors Ltd. for their continued partnership through the transition and merger of these two funds, "said Mary Anne Wiley, Head of iShares, BlackRock Canada. "The team at Auspice have been great contributors to the Canadian ETF landscape and we wish the best for their firm."

As a result of the Merger, each unitholder of GAS automatically received 0.567484 common units of CBR for each unit of GAS held. CBR, as the continuing fund, seeks to replicate the performance of the Morningstar® Global Long/Flat Commodity Index(SM) which aims to capture upward trends in the broad commodities markets while potentially limiting exposure during periods of down trends.

Units of GAS were delisted at the close of business on November 27, 2012.

The prospectus disclosure of CBR, as the continuing fund, will be updated to reflect the implementation of the Merger and Change in Investment Objective.
