Black Friday has gone mobile — and this chart proves it

A lot of people stayed home on Black Friday and shopped online instead. But they weren't necessarily using a PC.

According to data from IBM, charted here by Statista, more than 57% of visits to e-commerce sites last Friday came from a mobile device. That's up from 50% last year, and less than 6% a mere six years ago. Similarly, more than 36% of online e-commerce sales closed on mobile devices, up from less than 4% in 2010.
