Bellingham restaurant listed for sale last year drops in price as owner hopes to retire
Bellingham’s restaurant scene has changed throughout the last year, as some small businesses close their doors, and as new restaurants pop up throughout the seasons.
Last year, seven Whatcom County restaurants were listed for sale, including Luna’s Bistro, a restaurant and bar in Barkley Village.
The restaurant, owned by Jesse Cantu, serves a variety of menu options including steaks, pasta, tacos, pizzas, fish and chips, sandwiches and appetizers.
Back in 2023, Luna’s Bistro was listed for sale with a price of $249,900 by The Muljat Group.
Now, Luna’s Bistro’s listing price has dropped and is now listed for $187,500 by RE/MAX agent Luis Herrera.
“Great opportunity to continue a successful fully operating restaurant with full bar service, modern style decoration great seating space, balcony with view, this is a great room for private parties and/or extra seating, conveniently located in a busy Barkley Village Business Center with stores, shopping center, apartment complexes. Don’t miss this opportunity to own a turn in key business. OWNER FINANCING AVAILABLE,” the listing states.
The restaurant is listed for sale as its owner, Jesse Cantu, is “ready for retirement,” according to an email from Herrera.
The sale includes all kitchen equipment and furniture.
Luna’s Bistro is currently operating with normal hours and is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at 3004 Cinema Place.
