Yahoo Finance BBC iPlayer reveals new content being added over Christmas
Starting to think about what you're going to spend the festive period watching? Well, BBC iPlayer has got you covered, as the broadcaster has just announced that a whole bunch of titles are going to be added to its streaming service over the next month or so.
During the BBC Christmas content launch on Monday, November 29, Charlotte Moore, the corporation's chief content officer, revealed that over 1,000 boxsets will soon be available for people to watch – more than the platform has ever hosted before.

The line-up being rolled out will include new outings such as The Girl Before, a mystery thriller starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo, and A Very British Scandal, a 1960s-set period drama with WandaVision's Paul Bettany and The Crown's Claire Foy.
This year's most popular shows will be also be ready to devour, from dramas like Vigil, Time and Line of Duty, to comedies The Outlaws, Starstruck and Alma's Not Normal.
Natural history series The Mating Game and Universe, documentaries like Blair and Brown: The New Labour Revolution and Fever Pitch: The Rise of the Premier League and childrens' programmes like Malory Towers, Jamie Johnson and Nova Jones will feature, too.

When it comes to movies, TV license holders should look out for the likes of A Star is Born, Mary Poppins Returns, Blade Runner 2049, Ready Player One, Spider-Man: Homecoming and its sequel Far From Home and the Emilia Clarke-led rom-com Last Christmas.
In short, there'll be something for every single member of the family to enjoy throughout December. So get ready to hit play!
