Bausch Health denies report of considering bankruptcy filing

(Reuters) -Bausch Health said on Wednesday it was not considering a bankruptcy or insolvency proceeding of any kind and has not been involved in related discussions with its creditors.

Shares of the company hit their lowest in nearly two years earlier in the day, after a report from Reorg citing unnamed sources said Bausch Health was negotiating filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Bausch, formerly known as Valeant, also said it will not provide further comment on speculation.

U.S.-listed shares of the company have resumed trading after a halt pending news. They are currently down 20.4% at $6.08.
