Toronto, Ontario May 28, 2013 - AurCrest Gold Inc. (the "Company" or "AurCrest") (TSX-V:AGO.V - News) is pleased to inform our shareholders that the Company's President & CEO will be speaking at two industry events this week. On Tuesday, May 28th Mr. Brodie-Brown is participating in a panel discussion for the Toronto Geological Discussion Group with three other members of the community. The topic of discussion will focus on the recent changes to the Ontario Mining Act. Joining Mr. Brodie-Brown will be Mr. Al Workman, Vice President of Watts, Griffis and McOuat Consulting, Ms. Kate Lyons, Partner, Administrative Law, Goodmans LLP, and Mr. Rob Merwin, Director of the Mining Act Modernization Secretariat, Ontario Ministry of Northern Development and Mines.
On Thursday, May 30th Mr. Brodie-Brown will be giving a talk in Ottawa at the Aboriginal Lands and Resources Forum. Mr. Brodie-Brown will be speaking on the unique business relationship the Company has forged with the Lac Seul First Nation and the importance of ownership through financial participation by the First Nations people of Ontario and Canada. We strongly believe that the path forward for our industry, our country and all its peoples is to develop ownership models through direct investment, which creates a team inclusive of the corporations and the local communities. Mr. Brodie-Brown's talk will focus on this emerging concept.
The Company is also pleased to report that another Director, Mr. Christopher Angeconeb, representative of the Lac Seul First Nation on the Board of Directors of AurCrest, will be speaking immediately after Mr. Brodie-Brown, independent of the AurCrest partnership, on his commmunity's engagement with Ontario Power Generation, and how this successful partnership was achieved.
