Apple and Samsung have very different philosophies when it comes to courting smartphone customers

Samsung and Apple have long led the premium markets when it comes to smartphones — but the two companies have very different approaches when it comes to courting consumers.

As this chart by Statista shows, Samsung plasters the market with new models. It released 31 in 2016, and another 22 in 2017. Apple released just three each year.
