CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Advantage Energy Ltd. (AAVVF) on Thursday reported a second-quarter loss of $8.8 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Calgary, Alberta-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents.

The oil and gas company posted revenue of $73.6 million in the period.

Advantage Energy shares have increased 9% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $7.05, an increase of nearly 1% in the last 12 months.
