Adele explains how divorce impacted her young son
Adele has opened up about her recent divorce and the impact it has had on her son, Angelo.
The singer is currently gearing up to release new music, with her new single 'Easy on Me' expected to drop next week ahead of her next album.
In the wake of this, the famously private star opened up about her split from Simon Konecki – with whom she shares their nearly-9-year-old son – in a new interview for Vogue, admitting that it has caused some confusion for her child.

"My son has had a lot of questions," she explained. "Really good questions, really innocent questions, that I just don't have an answer for."
Expanding, Adele recalled: "'Why can't you still live together?' I just felt like I wanted to explain to him, through this record, when he's in his 20s or 30s, who I am and why I voluntarily chose to dismantle his entire life in the pursuit of my own happiness.
"It made him really unhappy sometimes. And that's a real wound for me that I don't know if I'll ever be able to heal."

The star elaborated of one song on her new album that tackles the subject: "It's not like anyone's having a go at me, but it's like, I left the marriage. Be kind to me as well.
"It was the first song I wrote for the album and then I didn't write anything else for six months after because I was like, 'OK, well, I've said it all'."
The star later admitted: "My anxiety was so terrible, I'd forget what I had or hadn't said to Angelo about separating," explaining that her therapist suggested she record their conversations – with one snippet appearing on the album.
"Obviously Simon and I never fought over him or anything like that. Angelo's just like, 'I don't get it'. I don't really get it either.
"There are rules that are made up in society of what happens and doesn't happen in marriage and after marriage, but I'm a very complex person. I've always let him know how I'm feeling from a very young age because I felt quite frazzled as an adult."
Adele's new album will be her first since 2015's 25, with the star recently teasing her latest offering by changing her social media's appearance.
