If you are a bargain shopper you have likely heard of Aldi. The discount grocer can be found throughout the United States. Originating in Germany in 1961, the no-frills retailer has been in operation in the U.S. since 1976. Today, Aldi has over 2,000 locations across 36 states. It has gained a reputation for offering quality goods at affordable prices.

Aldi offers low prices on both brand-name and generic goods. The store, known for its simplicity, provides a little bit of everything. The warehouse-like grocer has prices that are hard to beat. While many people visit Aldi for food, there are also countless non-food items that you shouldn’t pass up. Rumor has it that Wednesdays are the best day to go for deep discounts and savvy shoppers should peruse the Weekly Finds for the best deals.

Toilet Paper

Any avid Aldi shopper will tell you, you should always buy the toilet paper.

Jake Hill, CEO of DebtHammer, explained, “If you want low-cost toilet paper that still offers good quality, consider buying Willow toilet paper from Aldi. The ‘ultra strong’ variety is an especially good buy due to its softness and durability.”

He continued, “However, even the bargain varieties are perfectly serviceable if you’re on a tight budget. Across the board, the cost of Aldi toilet paper is typically several dollars less than comparable brands at other grocery stores!”

Weekly Aldi Finds

Another area where you can save big is by going through the Weekly Aldi Finds. These weekly specials have a variety of different goods at amazingly affordable prices. For instance, you can find Huntington Home Swedish Dish Cloths for $4.99 each and the Ginsey Licensed 10pc Bath Toy Set for $9.99 each. Each Wednesday new items are released, but many are limited stock so be sure to visit shortly after their release.

Decor

Decor is another area where you can find deep discounts on fan favorites. From seasonal goods to essential oils, there are a number of low-cost items that will spruce up your home. Many are also on weekly specials. But like most good things, they frequently come in limited numbers so you will have to grab them early if you want them at all like the Huntington Home Cocktail Glass Candle for $4.99.

Baby Items

If you have young ones at home, then you know the price of baby items is outrageous at most stores. The markup on something marketed toward parents is unreal, meaning you may be breaking the bank when money is already tight. Aldi offers inexpensive baby items like Little Journey Baby Wipes and Diapers that may provide some breathing room to your budget.

Laundry Products

One of the great things about Aldi is that it offers name brands in addition to store brands. For instance, you can pick up a 92-ounce container of Tide the next time you are at the grocer. While the price varies by location, it generally runs a little bit cheaper than at its big-box competitors. To save the most, however, you will want to shop the store’s private labels.

Health and Wellness Items

Another area you can save big by shopping Aldi’s private labels is in the health and wellness section. You can find Ibuprofen, allergy relief and common supplements for much less than at other retailers. Check the ingredients to make sure that they are comparable, but for the most part you will find yourself spending substantially less on these products than at the pharmacy.

Radiance Cleaning Supplies

Finally, you can score deep discounts with Radiance cleaning supplies. The products mimic many name brands, but are offered at a much lower price. You can find cleaning erasers, sweeping cloths and duster kits for well under what you would pay at another retailer. The section also includes dish detergent, scrub sponges and everything else you would need to keep your house clean without spending your entire paycheck.
