5 Fast Facts: 2016 Jeep Wrangler
The Jeep Wrangler SUV is available for 2016 in a Black Bear Edition, which builds on the Sport S model, adding special content to the exterior and interior, including premium off-road rock rails. The Wrangler Sahara gets exterior and interior appearance updates, including new wheels, body-color bumper applique, and Olive Green interior option.
Here are some more facts about the 2016 Jeep Wrangler and 4-door Wrangler Unlimited:
1) New exterior colors for 2016 include Rhino Mojave Sand and Hypergreen. Additional colors for 2016 include Billet Silver, Black, Bright White, Firecracker Red, Granite Crystal, Hydro Blue, and Tank. The Black Bear features a heritage “Wrangler” hood decal, topographical Black Bear Pass trail hood decal, off-road rock rails, Satin Black grille, Mineral Gray bumper applique, standard premium Sunrider soft top or optional body-color hard top, 17-in. 5-spoke black wheels, added traction with Silent Armor tires, and black tail lamp guards and fuel fill door.
2) The interior of the Black Bear Edition features black cloth Sedoso seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel with black accent stitching, Iron Gray bezels, grab handle vent rings and door handles, sport bar grab handles, all-weather slush mats, standard air conditioning, and the Connectivity Group and Power Convenience Group.
3) The Sahara, in both Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, receives updates including a body-color bumper applique, modified 18-in. wheels with Granite Crystal painted pockets and polished surface, and modified “Sahara” logo. Also new for 2016, Sahara trim offers an optional interior package featuring Olive Green leather seats with Cattle Tan accent stitching throughout.
4) The Rubicon Hard Rock Edition, available on either Wrangler or Wrangler Unlimited, features Jeep’s part-time 4-wheel-drive system with electronic-locking front and rear Dana 44 axles and a 6-speed manual transmission.
5) The Willys Wheeler Edition features upgraded hardware for improved off-road performance, as well as optional half-doors.
