360 million Myspace records are being held for ransom by hackers

Today we discuss Peter Thiel's Gawker battle, the gender wage gap and Myspace getting hacked.

Stocks (^DJI, ^GSPC, ^IXIC) are mixed at the midday mark, trading on light volume, with the telecom sector (IYZ) in the lead and consumer staples (XLP) in the red. Stephen Guilfoyle joins us live from the New York Stock Exchange.

To discuss the other big stories of the day, Alexis Christoforous is joined by Yahoo Finance's Rick Newman and Dan Roberts.

Who's backing Peter Thiel against Gawker's Nick Denton?

Gawker's Nick Denton is publicly responding to criticism that he outed Peter Thiel as gay. Denton appeared on CBS This Morning to defend the celebrity website after a jury awarded Hulk Hogan $140 million for publishing Hogan's sex tape.
