Arcology (http://arcology.network) founder and leader, Laurent Zhang, has invented a radically new way of looking at blockchain. It's a programmable platform that uses "smart contracts" to execute commands and transactions according to predefined conditions and protocols. Although Ethereum is capable of running 10-30 transactions per second, the heavy volume has resulted in a backlog of transactions that currently stands at more than 14,000.
