Yahoo Finance 2-car collision near Okotoks, Alta., sends 1 person to hospital via STARS air ambulance
A two-car collision south of Calgary has sent one passenger in serious condition to hospital via STARS air ambulance Friday evening.
RCMP told CBC News that just before 5:30 p.m., a two-vehicle collision was reported on Highway 2 at 370 Avenue E. in Foothills County, just outside of Okotoks, Alta.
A vehicle was attempting to cross Highway 2 and was T-boned by a vehicle heading south.
There were two people in each vehicle — all of whom were sent to hospital.
A man in his 40s from one of the vehicles was transported to the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary by STARS air ambulance. He was in serious condition, RCMP said.
The other occupant of the vehicle, as well as the two occupants of the other vehicle, were sent to hospital by ambulance. They were each in stable condition, police said.
Emergency crews were on scene for a few hours, but have since cleared.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
There are no other details at this time.
