Yahoo Finance Jennifer Lawrence Running And Screaming About Biden's Victory Is What We Need To See This Monday
After days of uncertainty, we finally know the results of the 2020 US presidential election.
The Associated Press, the BBC and other outlets projected that Joe Biden had won the election after gaining the key states of Pennsylvania and Nevada and is now President-elect of the United States.
While Republican President Donald Trump has not yet conceded and has continued to allege 'major fraud on our nation' (without evidence) in regards to the vote, Biden and his running mate Kamala Harris made victory speeches on Saturday night live from Wilmington, Delaware.
The election was a close one, and saw the highest voter turnout in over 100 years. More than ever, during the build up to this year's election, the importance of everyone's right to vote was at the forefront of conversation, with countless celebrities harnessing their social influence to encourage their followers to ensure that their voices are heard.
Now, after communicating their anguish over the uncertain results of last week, celebrities from Jennifer Lawrence to Selena Gomez to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been reacting to the new President-elect and historic Vice President-elect. Here are some of the ways celebrities have been reacting to the news..
Jennifer Lawrence
The Oscar winner made a rare appearance on Twitter to share her reaction to the election result... which was to run down the streets of Boston screaming, by herself.

In a video shared to the platform, a masked-Lawrence runs up and down the street shrieking in elation while Childish Gambino's 'This Is America' plays out of her handheld speaker.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen
After supporting Kamala Harris at a campaign rally the day before the election, the singer is and presented anxiously waited for the result, Legend with his mini-me son Miles and Teigen by 'stress-cooking' on her Instagram Stoeis.

But when the result was announced, they left the confines of their home to take part in a street celebration in West Hollywood. Attendees at the impromptu party filmed the couple sitting on the top of a car being driven through the crowd - in a parade-style - overjoyed at the result.

The singer was another campaigner for Biden and following the result, took to Twitter to reassure convey her relief and joy.

On election day, Kim Kardashian took to Instagram to let her followers know she voted. While husband West put himself forward for the presidency this year, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has made very few comments on his candidacy and did not go on to reveal who she would be voting for in this year's election.
The morning after voting, Kardashian shared a slogan saying, 'Count Every Vote' to her Instagram Stories, adding: 'Waiting is hard but democracy is worth waiting for.'

Ariana Grande has consistently shown her support for Biden, making her stand clear in tweeting out to her followers a series of infographics on polling place opening times, voting rights, and vitally, a black square saying 'it's a beautiful day to vote for joe biden + kamala harris'.
The morning after voting she shared some positive updates from the election, including Sarah McBridge becoming the first transgender person elected to state senate.

Selena Gomez spent part of her election day in conversation on an Instagram live with politician Stacey Abrams in which they discussed democracy and the importance of voting.
Prefacing the video, the Rare Beauty founder explained that she hoped it would provide some solace, saying: 'I'm really wanting to calm everybody and I know that this is an anxious day'.
Following the result, Gomez included both Abrams and Michelle Obama in her congratulations for their persistent campaigning for voter registration ahead of the 2020 election.

Kanye 2020 was the last minute entry to the elections that no one saw actually coming (despite his insistence he would be running for office). Taking to Twitter yesterday, the rapper announced that he would be casting his first ever vote, for himself. And he wasn't alone - with the 43-year-old amassing as many as 50,000 votes in the US presidential election as of 4:30am.
