14 incredible shops on Etsy for unique wall art

Best places to buy art on Etsy.
Best places to buy art on Etsy.

Wall art is one of the easiest ways to give your home a little personality and make it feel more like a place that you love instead of just a place that you live. Unlike more permanent solutions like paint, wall art is portable and can be taken with you if you end up moving. It’s also one of the first and easiest things to add to make a new place feel like home.

There are endless places to buy art, but nothing feels quite as good as buying from an independent artist, knowing that you’re getting something truly original and supporting a small business. Etsy is a great place to find variety, but the sheer volume can get overwhelming. For those who aren’t sure what to search or fall into the “I’ll know it when I see it” camp, it’s helpful to have a place to begin.

That’s where we come in. We’ve pulled together a list of 14 of our favorite artists spanning a huge range of styles, subject matter, and prices. Scroll to find your new favorite artist and take your first step toward bringing a whole lot more “you” to your space.

Our FavoriteNow What

If Melissa Koby’s art feels vaguely familiar, you shouldn’t be surprised. She’s been featured by everyone from Google to Pottery Barn, and continues to be a star in the art world. Koby’s work is a celebration of people of color, women and Black excellence. As a Black woman, Koby illustrates beautiful faceless figures because she wants “everyone to be able to see themselves in each piece… to normalize looking past the color of the skin.”

Along with watercolor and digitally-illustrated paintings, you’ll find tranquil landscapes to inspire healing and reflection. Koby’s personally one of my favorite artists, so much so that her Now What painting is currently hanging out on the wall next to me as I write this. For anyone who needs some inspiration or some calm, M Koby Art is a great place to start.
