12 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Get From Your Favorite Stores

This article originally appeared on GOBankingRates.com: 12 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Get From Your Favorite Stores

Even if you shop at the same places all the time, you might be shocked to find out the unexpected things regular stores sell — including cars, guns and metal detectors.

GOBankingRates perused the offerings at Costco, Target, Walmart and more to find the oddest items for sale. Keep reading to find out the surprising things you can buy at these popular retailers.

7-Eleven: Tax Payments

  • Fee per tax payment: $3.99

At 7-Eleven, you can pick up a Slurpee, use a free ATM and pay your taxes in the same visit. The IRS accepts cash payments at 7-Eleven retail locations throughout 34 states, thanks to the convenience store chain’s partnership with PayNearMe. You can make payments of up to $1,000 per day, and there is a $3.99 fee for each transaction.

Best Buy: Action Figures

  • Hasbro Legends Series 6-inch Black Panther Figure: $15.99

Best Buy is where you go for your high-tech needs, but the store also sells a variety of low-tech toys, including a wide range of action figures. From Hatchimals to LEGO toys, you can buy them at Best Buy.

Costco: Cars

  • 2019 Cadillac Escalade: $72,730

Costco sells some shockingly expensive things you’d never expect to find at the warehouse retailer. The store has partnered with local car dealers for its Auto Program, which allows Costco members to save when they purchase or lease a new or pre-owned vehicle. Costco members get low, prearranged pricing, manufacturer incentives and access to exclusive specials at more than 3,000 dealerships nationwide. For example, through Jan. 2, 2019, Costco members can get up to $700 in Costco Cash when they purchase or lease a 2019 Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac.

CVS: Power Scooters

  • Drive Medical Bobcat X4 Compact Transportable Power Mobility Scooter: $599

CVS Pharmacy sells almost any product you could need to stay healthy, from cough medicine to first aid kits. The retailer also sells a complete line of products for home health care needs, including bathroom safety chairs, canes and crutches, diabetes testing tools, walkers, wheelchairs and, yes, power scooters.

Dollar General: Bluetooth Speakers

  • Craig Home Bluetooth Tower Stereo Speaker: $30

Despite its name, not everything sold at Dollar General costs a dollar. The discount superstore also sells some higher-priced wares, including bluetooth speakers, drones, tablets and game consoles.

Kmart: Designer Fragrances

  • Bamboo by Gucci 1.7-ounce Eau De Parfum Spray: $87.99

Kmart can be a haven for bargain shoppers — if you can manage to find one — but the big box store also sells some high-end designer items, including Gucci perfume.

Kohl's: Metal Detectors

  • Bounty Hunter Quick Silver Adjustable Metal Detector: $139.99

Kohl’s sells just about any product you could want, from bedding to clothes to tech to outdoor supplies — including metal detectors, for those looking to uncover buried treasure. Among their camping and outdoor offerings are more than 20 different metal detectors with a range of prices and functions.

Macy's: Drones

  • DJI Mavic 2 Zoom Aircraft: $1,249

When you think of stores that have the best tech deals, Macy’s probably doesn’t come to mind, but the department store does sell drones and drone accessories. You can also buy smart home devices, tablets, laptops and video game consoles at Macy’s.

Nordstrom: Vitamins & Supplements

  • Moon Juice SuperYou Dietary Supplement: $49

Nordstrom might not be known as a wellness destination, but the ever-popular department store sells vitamins and supplements from premium brands like Hum Nutrition, 8G Greens, Moon Juice, The Beauty Chef, Glotrition, The Organic Pharmacy and Jane Iredale Skin. But expect to pay more for vitamins here than at the drug store.

Target: Fire Pits

  • Pleasant Hearth 34-inch Bradford Slate Fire Pit: $199.99

If you want to set up a fire pit in your backyard, your first inclination might be to head to Home Depot or Lowe’s. But Target also sells portable fire pits in a range of sizes, styles and price points. However, many of the fire pits are available on Target.com only, so you wouldn’t be able to see them in person before purchasing.

Walgreens: Contact Lenses

  • Acuvue Oasys 12-pack: $54.74

Instead of paying premium prices for contact lenses through your optometrist’s office, you can buy your lenses at Walgreens — likely for much less. The pharmacy chain offers free standard shipping on contact lenses and an online rebate center where you can check for any available rebates on your lenses. You can currently get a year’s supply for Acuvue contacts for under $60 on the Walgreens site.

Walmart: Guns

  • Benjamin Nitro Piston Powered Prowler NP Air Rifle: $98

You might not expect it, but Walmart is the largest seller of firearms and ammunition in the U.S., according to CBS News. You can even get free shipping on many of the guns available online, although the shipping options vary by state.
