BuzzFeed plans a UK marketing push.

Good morning. Here's everything you need to know in the world of advertising today.

1. AOL acquired mobile ad tech company Millennial Media for $1.75 per share. The deal values Millennial Media at $237 million, only a slight premium on its market cap of $187 million.

2. BuzzFeed's European boss told us how she plans to "dispel the myth" that the site is just about "cats and kids." Kate Burns said BuzzFeed UK has big marketing plans.

3. Vincent Bollore is trying to create a French media superpower. Bollore, who owns advertising holding group Havas and media giant Vivendi, has ousted the chairman of pay-TV operation Canal+ and installed a closed lieutenant in his place.

4. Retailers are starting the holiday season earlier than ever. One Macy's store has already set up its holiday display.

5. Here are 17 code words only Facebook employees understand. From "purple tie" through to "little red book."

6. Twitter's 140-character limit may be killing its expansion internationally. In some languages 140 characters is half an essay, whilst in others it’s barely enough to clear your throat.

7. Here's the trailer for the upcoming BBC drama about "Grand Theft Auto." It stars Daniel Radcliffe.

8. Chipotle is the target of a brutal new attack ad that accuses the burrito chain of deceptively marketing high-calorie foods as healthy. The ad and website are part of a campaign funded by the Center for Consumer Freedom, a nonprofit based in Washington, DC, that lobbies for food companies.

9. Facebook has begun testing a new "immersive" style of mobile ad, according to The Wall Street Journal's CMO Today. The new ads don't have a name yet, but they offer brands the ability to create interactive destinations within the Facebook app and mobile site.

10. Programmatic display ad spend in the UK will surpass £2 billion ($3.1 billion) in 2016, according to eMarketer. This year, automated ads will account for nearly 60% of UK spend, eMarketer predicts.
