Some of Wall Street’s most hated stocks are surging. Only one deserves any love, market watcher says

Investors have bet heavily this year that a number of stocks would fall, but in some cases, the exact opposite has happened, fueling some very large gains in those very same stocks. Advanced Micro Devices AMD , Rent-a-Center RCII , Shake Shack SHAK and Restoration Hardware RH — all stocks with high short interest – have logged impressive returns of 54 percent, 70 percent, 68 percent, and 53 percent, respectively, over the past three months. On the flipside, Restoration Hardware or RH is likely deserving of Wall Street’s derision, said Maley.
