Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announces that more than 2.7 million residents have entered the Vax-a-Million lottery for $1 million prize

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced on Monday that 2,758,470 Ohioans have entered the state's Vax-a-Million lottery for a $1 million prize.

In May, Ohio became one of the first states to offer a vaccine incentive in the form of a lottery ticket, creating a new lottery draw for vaccinated residents. The winner of the $1 million prize will be announced on Wednesday.

DeWine also announced that 104,386 Ohioans under the age of 18 have entered the Vax-a-Million lottery, with the chances of winning a full-ride scholarship to any public university in Ohio.
