Barrons.comFriday's Jobs Report Sent the Market's Fear Gauge Lower
The market's fear gauge was tumbling on Friday after the April employment report had market observers breaking out the wave of "Goldilocks" references that accompany a "just right" report. The CBOE Volatility Index, or Vix, was down 6.4% to 13.74 in recent trading. The Vix spiked north of 19 in April before pulling back in recent weeks.
