Toddler Gets Permission From Security Guards to Greet Aunt at Doha Airport

A toddler determined to greet her aunt arriving at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar, stopped for a moment to check with security personnel before barreling on into her relative’s arms.

This video, taken by Mohammed Hamed Alaila in September 2020, shows his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Batoul run to her aunt after receiving a friendly nod of approval from airport security.

Alaila, who describes his daughter as extremely “socially intelligent,” told Storyful that Shroug, Batoul’s aunt, was initially unable to visit the family due to pandemic restrictions but luckily spent five months in Doha to make up for the absence. Credit: Mohammed Hamed Alaila via Storyful
