Snow and Sleet Forecast for New York City as Temperatures Dip

A low-pressure system was forecast to bring a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain to parts of the tri-state area from Tuesday, January 26, into Wednesday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) said up to one inch of snow and sleet accumulation was expected in the New York and New Jersey metro area, while one to three inches were expected in the Lower Hudson Valley and Southern Connecticut area.
