Smoke from CA's wildfires is impacting air quality. What a medical expert recommends to stay safe

As massive wildfires continue to burn across California, local health experts are raising concerns. Smoke coming off the Tamarack, Fly and Dixie fires is drifting into the Sacramento area and surrounding counties, impacting the air quality. Placer County Health and Air Quality officials released an advisory on Friday, warning residents of the "potential for poor air quality ... to cause negative health impacts, particularly for sensitive groups and when exposure is prolonged." In addition, public health officials also declared Friday and Saturday "Spare the Air Days" in the Sacramento region due to anticipated high levels of ozone. Wildfire smoke has the potential to exacerbate those conditions. See more in the video above.
