People Wait for Answers as Authorities Search for Brian Laundrie in Myakkahatchee Creek Park

The FBI and other authorities were on the scene in Florida’s Myakkahatchee Creek Park after officials found several “items of interest” relating to Brian Laundrie, missing person of interest in the death of Gabby Petito.

Video shared to Twitter by Jonathan Lee Riches shows people standing near the park’s entrance, waiting for information or breaking news on Wednesday.

Authorities entered the park with Chris and Roberta Laundrie, Brian’s parents, after finding what the FBI called “items of interest” in the reserve.

The FBI said an evidence response team was called in, as was a medical examiner, according to local reports.

Brian Laundrie was last seen on September 13. Petito’s body was discovered in Wyoming on September 21 and her death declared a homicide. Laundrie is the only person of interest in the case. Credit: Jonathan Lee Riches via Storyful
