People Line Streets of Irvine, California, to Honor Marine Killed in Afghanistan

People lined streets in Irvine, California, on Friday, September 17, as a procession passed honoring 20-year-old Marine Lance Corporal Kareem Nikoui, who was killed in Afghanistan on August 26.

Nikoui was a resident of Norco, according to the Irvine Police Department, which released this video. Nikoui’s casket arrived at Ontario Airport and was then taken to a mortuary in Riverside, California, where he was buried on Saturday, according to local media.

“Hundreds of police officers from Southern California were part of the procession,” the police department "wrote"":https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=563991598255044 “Our thoughts are with his loved ones during this time.”
