The Palisades Fire burning in Los Angeles, California, grew to over 800 acres on Sunday, May 16, according to fire officials.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department said the blaze was approximately 835 acres, up from 750 acres on Saturday. The fire was zero percent contained as of about 10:30 am on Sunday, the fire department said.
Multiple communities in the area were under mandatory evacuation, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
