It is Not All Fiscal Paradise for U.S. Virgin Islands

March 3 -- The U.S. Virgin Islands are a picture of paradise. Sandy beaches, warm temperatures and a relaxed island vibe, and a 26% increase in revenues. But, like its island neighbor Puerto Rico - The U.S. Virgins islands has a debt problem. A $2.4 billion debt problem. U.S. Virgin Islands government officials appeared before the Senate Finance Committee last month to report on the island's fiances, mainly its $133 Million budget shortfall. Governor Kennerh Mapp joined Pimm to discuss the financial state of the island and how the newly elected governor will fix its debt problem. (Source: Bloomberg)
