ADAM SHAPIRO: News on the Move, director of national intelligence, John Ratcliffe, says Russia and Iran have both obtained US voter information and taken action to influence public opinion ahead of November 3 ele-- the November 3 presidential election. Ratcliffe said Iran's specifically sent, what he called, spoofed emails to American citizens, quote, "designed to intimidate voters, incite social unrest, and damage President Trump."

He did not elaborate how it would damage President Trump. But FBI Director Christopher Wray stressed that US election systems remain safe and quote, "resilient."

JULIE HYMAN: The Senate Judiciary Committee has voted to advance the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. The vote sets up a final vote in the full Senate confirmation on Monday. The vote was 12 to zero, but the 10 Democratic senators on the panel boycotted the vote. Democratic senators instead left pictures of people who depend on the Affordable Care Act in the hearing room.

The Supreme Court, of course, will hear a challenge to the Affordable Care Act next month after the election.

ADAM SHAPIRO: And from our this is really cool file, NASA released photos from its asteroid chaser, OSIRIS-REx, which made history earlier this week after it landed on the asteroid Bennu over 200 million miles away from planet Earth. The spacecraft used a robotic arm to take samples of the asteroid, which will be returned to Earth in 2023.

The entire sampling episode actually took all of six seconds. NASA says it will know this weekend if the sampling actually succeeded.
