Microsoft hires Apple chip veteran, cannabis compounds may prevent COVID infection, TPG prices IPO

- Microsoft has reportedly hired a key engineer from Apple to design its own chips for its servers. That's according to Bloomberg. Mike Filippo, chip veteran who also worked at ARM and Intel, will work on building out Microsoft's Azure server chips as it looks to take its data centers to the next level and compete with the likes of Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud.

Well, a new study has found that cannabis compounds can help prevent COVID-19 infection. Researchers at the Journal of Natural Products found that two cannabinoid acids commonly found in hemp were identified as having potential to combat the virus as well as treat infections. The study cited that these compounds are commonly studied and have a good safety profile in humans. By the way, they were not smoked in the study. I believe they were in tinctures.
