Intense Hail Storm Forces School Closures in Adelaide, South Australia

Several schools were forced to close after an intense hail storm swept through the South Australian capital of Adelaide on October 28.

The state’s education department said the closure of the eight schools was due to flooding or power outages caused by the storm.

Severe storms were expected to produce large hail and damaging winds in Adelaide and surrounding areas, the Bureau of Meteorology said.
